Two Uses for Old Wooden Puzzle Boards

by Andrea on May 18, 2012

I like to recycle things when I can.  Here are two uses for old wooden puzzle boards that are no longer played with since the pieces have been missing so long now that I’m quite sure they’ll never resurface.

This old board serves as a lap desk. When flipped over, it provides a solid, flat surface for writing on. Perfect for when the kids do their homework sitting on the couch or stretched out on my bed.

I like to use the back side of this large and somewhat thick puzzle board as a trivet for putting hot dishes on the table. That casserole looks good, doesn’t it? It’s chickpea.  Yum!

Do you put old puzzle boards to work? What ideas have you come up with?
